ILLING has stayed in the same family for nearly 100 years. H.T. Illing founded the company in 1927. His son Bob grew it and built its first decoration capability. Mike Alber modernized it through the ’90s. Today Jay Alber leads it as the fourth-generation president, with his sister Carey as Executive Vice President. That’s what family ownership actually buys you: the person who answers your call is invested in keeping your business, not hitting an exit target.

We have been sourcing packaging since 1927, through four generations of the same family. That time buys you something specific: we have seen which containers fail in the field, which manufacturers hold their lead times, and which specs cause problems six months later. When we recommend something, it is because we have watched it work.
SERVICE AT THE CORE
The experts answer the phone.
The person who picks up knows your account, and can usually answer without checking. Behind that: four warehouses and 500,000 square feet of inventory, so a delivery commitment is one we can actually keep. When something goes wrong, one company owns it, and we would rather tell you an uncomfortable thing early than a comfortable one late.
FORWARD BY DESIGN
Built here, not just bought.
Silk screen, labeling, shrink sleeve, and digital printing all run on our own lines, so decoration is not a second vendor and a second timeline. When stock packaging will not do the job, we develop custom profiles and tooling, and in-house 3D printing has cut prototype cycles down to a fraction of what they used to take.
