Beyond containers.

Most packaging suppliers stop at the container. We handle everything around it with one partner: design, sourcing, decoration, compliance, and fulfillment.

What we do

Eight ways we deliver.

Each service stands on its own and works even better with the others. Most engagements combine three or four, with one point of contact tying them together.

Inventory

Forecast-driven inventory we hold for you, with just-in-time release tied to your production schedule. No carrying costs, no surprises.

Built for production

Inventory matched to your line.

A stocking agreement is forecast-driven inventory we hold on your behalf, staged at our facility and released against your production schedule. You commit to volume over a horizon; we commit to availability.

The math works because it removes friction at both ends. You don't carry inventory cost. We don't run small orders. Lead time stops being a variable, and price stability becomes part of the deal.

  • 12–24 month horizons with quarterly true-ups
  • Release in any case-pack quantity, no MOQs per release
  • Multi-site staging across WI, GA, IL, MN

What to expect

From first call to long-term partner.

  1. 01

    Conversation

Start with a call. We learn what's constraining you today, what's coming, and where current solutions are falling short.

  2. 02

    Discovery

We map your spec, MOQ realities, decoration feasibility, lead time, and freight implications into one document, so options are clear before quotes are issued.

  3. 03

    Recommendation

Real numbers with the trade-offs explicit. Approve a path or push back. Both are useful inputs.

  4. 04

    Execution

Production, decoration, and fulfillment with one point of contact. Status when you want it, proactive flags when something shifts.

  5. 05

    Partnership

After the first run, we know your product. The next conversation starts further along the curve.

Proven at scale

Walmart RFID compliance, handled.

The Walmart RFID mandate caught a lot of brands flat-footed. We've been navigating it since the requirement rolled out, through hangtag changes, label format updates, supply chain validation, and the EPC encoding details no one wants to figure out twice.

When a brand brings us in mid-quarter to fix a non-conforming shipment, we know the playbook. When a brand brings us in early, we build it correctly the first time.

  • Walmart-validated tagging and encoding
  • Inline retrofit on existing decoration runs
  • Pre-launch program audits for new SKUs

Why ILLING

Four reasons to bring us in.

Service capability looks similar on a website. The difference is in how it's owned, where it sits, and how long the playbook has been running.

One partner, not many

The full chain under one roof. No coordinating four vendors to get one shipment right.

In-house capability

Not subcontracted. We own the equipment, the people, and the process, so what we promise is what we control.

Multi-site footprint

Four locations across the Midwest mean shorter freight, regional stocking, and faster response when a deadline shifts.

Decades of refinement

Family-owned and operated for generations. The service playbook has been refined across multiple generations. What looks like instinct is repetition.

Common questions

Before you call us.

If your question isn't here, that's what the conversation is for. Most projects don't fit any FAQ neatly, and that's a feature.

Do I have to buy containers from ILLING to use these services?
Not necessarily. Some customers come to us for decoration on containers they're already buying elsewhere, or for stocking agreements covering products from multiple suppliers. We treat services as a separate engagement, so the container source doesn't determine eligibility.
What's the minimum project size?
It depends on the service. Decoration runs as low as 5,000 units in some configurations; stocking agreements typically start at $50K+ in annual volume. The first conversation is usually enough to know if your project fits. Call us before assuming it doesn't.
Can a single project use multiple services?
Yes, that's the model. A typical engagement might combine custom design, contract-molded production, in-house decoration, RFID tagging, and stocked release for monthly retail shipments. One PO, one point of contact, one supplier relationship.
How does JIT work if my forecast changes?
Stocking agreements include quarterly reviews for forecast revisions. Within a quarter, we accommodate flex up to 20% without penalty. Beyond that, we work it case by case. We’re committed to helping you control your business.
Are credit terms negotiable?
For qualifying businesses, NET 30 is the standard starting point. Extended terms (NET 45, NET 60) are available based on volume, tenure, and credit profile. We treat credit as part of the customer relationship, not a separate finance function.
Are all services available at every ILLING location?
Decoration capacity is concentrated at our Wisconsin headquarters and Atlanta facilities. Stocking and JIT release works from all four locations (Wisconsin, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota). Other services are coordinated centrally regardless of where inventory sits.
Why is ILLING a leader in Walmart RFID compliance?
We started working through Walmart's RFID requirements when the mandate first applied to apparel, then watched it expand into our packaging-adjacent categories. We've built the workflow that most suppliers are still piecing together: EPC encoding, hangtag substrate sourcing, label format validation, and supply chain documentation. When a brand needs RFID-conforming decoration fast, we're often the only call that doesn't end in "let me get back to you."
